The short version

Animal Obby is a 3D obstacle course where you switch between a gecko, a monkey, a kangaroo, a turkey and an elephant. It suits players who like platforming with a small puzzle of which animal fits which obstacle.

How it plays

You race along colourful 3D courses, timing jumps over gaps on the way to the finish. The twist is the cast: five animals, each with its own ability.

Swap animals whenever the course asks for something different. The game is built around choosing the right one for each obstacle rather than using one animal all the way through.

If a level gets too hard, power-ups such as flying can give you a push. It is also multiplayer: you can create an online lobby and play the courses with friends.

Tips

• Learn which number is which animal early, so a swap does not cost you a jump.
• When an obstacle looks impossible, the answer is usually a different animal, not a better jump.
• On mobile, move the camera with the right joystick before long jumps to see where you will land.
• Keep power-ups for the parts that stop you, rather than using them the moment they appear.
